  • What is Apán?
    Tawtnúk apán is the wild mushroom used in some of our products. It is just one of the estimated 140,000 mushroom species. It is a conk mushroom, which means it grows on trees and does not have a cap or stem. It has been used by the Sahaptin Native American Medicine Men and Women of the Columbia River basin for millennia. Tawtnúk apán translated means “medicine mushroom.” Also, many Native American Tribes in the area called the mushroom by different names according to their language. For example, the Nez Perce tribe called the mushroom Shiaq’ ga which translated means 'To Give Life' or 'Healing'.   • What is the recommended way of taking Apán?
    The liquid extracts and the powdered Defense capsules. For best results with the liquid extracts, take 4mL daily in a glass of water or with food. Dosage may be spaced out during the day for a continuous boost of the immune system or all at once if preferred. If you are new to the supplements, start slowly with 1mL and increase the dosage every few days until the full dose is reached. ‍The Defense delivers a maintenance dose of Apán in each daily serving. Because the Defense contains probiotics, it should not be taken along with essential oils or the liquid extracts that contain essential oils.   • How do you use Apán in your products?
    The Apán is carefully wild-harvested, cleaned, and chopped by the Medicine Men and Women that have been traditionally using this healing miracle in their healing practice. The Apán is then sent to our company for testing and manufacturing. The liquid supplements use the Apán that has been carefully extracted in hot water. No alcohol or solvents are used in this process and the Apán is brewed into a desired concentrated tea that breaks down the hard cell walls of the mushroom. This makes the beta-glucans and other nutrients more bioavailable.
  • How long do your supplements take to work?
    Normally, the first month is considered the detox and build up month. It does take time to clean out the body and activate its stem cell production.   • Are your products safe for pregnant or nursing mothers?

  • How does your Apán supplements compare with the product I am using with 1,000mg of bakers yeast beta glucans?"
    Man Found Standing, Medicine Man practitioner states: "Now, trying to compare the Apán products to bakers yeast products is not the correct way to understand the therapeutic properties. ‍Using milligrams as a unit of measurement for beta glucans is just marketing hype. It is not about the mg measurement but all about absorbability/bioavailability. Bakers yeast products, even though they may have a high beta glucan content, have very low bioavailability due to the large particle chains. Their poor bioavailability is simply because beta glucans are acid-resistant and are not broken down or digested in the stomach and travel directly into the intestines. Once in the intestines, it is only the single beta glucan molecules that can be absorbed and fill the receptor sites on the surface of the macrophages (this is a component of the immune system that is cell-engulfing that ingest and destroy foreign particles) that inhabit the intestinal wall to begin the immune cascade resulting in dramatic immunomodulation.‍ ‍This explains why even a small dose of Apán has a greater efficacy than extremely large dosages of processed yeast-based glucans. If there are no issues, then slowly increase your dosage over the next few days, weeks, or months depending on how you feel. Since everyone is different, you want to listen to your body and go with what feels best for you.
  • Are the liquid Apán and Defense supplements vegan?

    Most of our packages are shipped with USPS and they are not always consistent when scanning packages during transit. Your tracking information will only update once the shipping carrier scans the package. If you do notice an issue with your package, like it has not been updated for a few days, please contact us.
  • How long will it take for my order to arrive?
    Depending on your location, domestic shipping within the U.S. usually takes between 2 to 5 business days. (Shipping can be delayed due to holidays and government-mandated slowdowns/shutdowns.) International shipping can take between 2-4 weeks but you should check with your local postal services for delays or interruptions. Customs for your country can add extra delays. Larger orders are shipped out through an express service for faster delivery and customs clearance. Please note these are estimates and delivery times can fluctuate.   • How much does shipping cost?
    Shipping for orders to the U.S. is free! We cover the shipping expense. For international shipments, shipping rates may vary, and are you are normally charged less that what it costs for shipping. Please note prices are listed in USD and we are not responsible for customs, duties, or exchange rates.
  • How long will my order take to process?
    Orders placed before 3 pm EST are usually shipped out the same business day. Orders placed after 3 pm EST, on weekends, or holidays are usually shipped the next business day.
  • My shipping address is wrong. What should I do?
    If you shipped your order to the wrong address, please contact customer service immediately at 1-417-683-0149. If your order is still being processed, we can change it. If it has already shipped, we can no longer make any changes but can send you a new package to your new address.
  • How do I track my order?
    Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a link to check the status of your order. Please keep in mind that it may take 24-48 hours for your tracking information to update on the carrier's site.
  • What is your refund policy?
